Most businesses try not to put their callers onhold. In fact, if you have voice mail you may think you don’t put customers onhold at all, but that’s probably not true. When a caller reaches the person he or she wants to talk to, there is a possibility he or she is put onhold there.
If you put just one person onhold per half hour, and that is a very low rate, you would put 80 people onhold in a week or 320 a month or 3,840 per year!
