August 19, 2019 By admin

Hello and welcome. Guns are, always have been, and always will be a hot topic of discussion. Whether you believe that every law-abiding citizen has the right to own deadly weapons be it for self-defense, hunting, or recreational range firing, or steadfast against their manufacturing and use, the impact that they and their inventors have imprinted upon all of our lives is undeniable.

The M9 Baretta, M16 and M4 assault rifles, M2HB Machine Gun, and the M240 Machine Gun amongst others. There was always a big debate on whether the AR series was more effective than the M series. According to the article on https://adventurefootstep.com/ar-10-vs-ar-15/ many of the avid AR supporters focused on the two main advantages of the weapon: Reliability and larger caliber ammunition.

AR-10

Developed in 1955 at the ArmaLite division of Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation by Eugene Stoner, the AR-10 assault rifle’s creation was to upgrade the firearms the United States Army by replacing the M1 Garand. The initial launch was far from a success and it wasn’t until 3 decades later that the weapon’s popularity took off when the AR-10B was marketed for the civilian and police use. The AR-10 is the also served as the basis for creating the AR-15 and M16 series assault rifles.

AR-15

Developed in 1956 by Eugene Stoner, Jim Sullivan and Bob Fremont, Colt bought the manufacturing rights from ArmaLite in 1959 making the AR-15 a registered trademark of Colt. Only Colt and Colt licensees may legally manufacture official AR-15 assault rifles. The series of assault rifles is one of the most popular around the world. And while the AR-15 is mainly manufactured and utilized in the United States they are also highly popular in Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey and the Ukraine. Modern AR-15’s are highly versatile with many options for caliber, barrel length, upper receivers along with many other features.

  • Length: 1006mm (39.6 inches)

The tale of the specs reveal which AR variations excel in what categories. The advantages of the AR-15 are its interchangable parts, light weight, higher rate of fire and round velocity, while the AR-10 has better range and because of a larger round, better stopping power. So as to the question of which one is superior it really depends on the weilder. That being said the AR-15’s interchangeability would seem to give it a slight advantage in the comfort sector. In the end try each weapon out for yourself is the best option to find which one suits you best!
